Jason’s PhD project applies the nature inspired approach to the challenges of electrochemical energy storage, ranging from effective flow and access of reactants to electrodes to the structuring of components to ensure functional effectiveness over different length scales. The project draws upon the skills and facilities available in the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (EPSRC "Frontier Engineering Award") and the National Centre for Grid Scale Energy Storage.
