A new PhD studentship is available at the Nature-Inspired Materials Engineering (NIME) lab led by Dr Yang Lan within CNIE at the UCL Chemical Engineering department.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL) is among the leading research-intensive departments in the UK, achieving world-class standing. It is the home of the EPSRC “Frontier Engineering” Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (CNIE). 

The PhD studentship (open to all applicants) is a full PhD scholarship funded by the Department of Chemical Engineering, UCL, with tuition fees and stipend fully covered for 4 years.

Person Specification

The successful candidate must have a first-class degree at the Meng or MSC level in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Physics or related field. The research topic of this position is open but should be related to nature-inspired materials engineering. Priority will be given to students with experiment background in polymer, colloids, supramolecular chemistry, microfluidics and catalysis.
