New PhD Studentship with UCL CNIE (London) and IFP Energies nouvelles (Lyon)
09 July 2018
In collaboration with, and sponsored by IFPEN (Institut Français du Pétrole – Energies Nouvelles), there is a vacancy for a talented UK/EU PhD student, fully funded for 3 years, to work on a project related to porous functional materials analysis: “Multi-technique analysis of porous networks in gamma-alumina supports”.
For this unique international project, advised by Prof Marc-Olivier Coppens (UCL) and Dr Elsa Jolimaitre (IFPEN), the student will be expected to spend 50% of the time in London and 50% in Lyon, combining the best of two renowned institutes. The project is largely experimental, and employs sophisticated analytical techniques at UCL Chemical Engineering and the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (UK), and IFPEN in Solaize/Lyon (France). IFPEN is a public-sector research, innovation and training centre in France, active in the fields of energy, transport and the environment.
