Kaiqiao Wu awarded IChemE young researcher second prize at PTF2019
02 August 2019
On 28–31 July 2019, the 7th UK–China International Particle Technology Forum and annual UK Particle Technology Forum (PTF2019) was held jointly in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The UK-China forum began in 2007 (Leeds/UK), and has alternated between China and the UK since then: Guiyang (2009), Birmingham (2011), Shanghai (2013), Leeds (2015) and Yangzhou (2017). Originally founded as the UK–China Particle Technology Forum, the inclusion of the word ‘International’ since 2013 acknowledges the worldwide popularity of this forum.
The Annual UK Particle Technology Forum has also been a successful platform for bringing together early career researchers to discuss the latest achievements and future challenges in the area of Particle Technology.
The joint forum includes the special session of competition for IChemE Young Researchers Award in Particle Technology. Candidates were selected by a panel of IChemE members to give full presentations during the forum.
At the event, CNIE Inspiration Grant Awardee Kaiqiao Wu, won the second prize for the IChemE young researcher award.
The IChemE Young Researchers Award celebrates chemical, process and biochemical engineering excellence. This award recognises outstanding scholarship, commercialisation or education in particle technology by engineers or scientists in the early stages of their careers.
We congratulate Kaiqiao for this fantastic achievement.
